The Data Center Infrastructure Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure, maintenance, and construction activities within a mission-critical data center environment, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Working closely with data center operations, maintenance teams, and third-party vendors, this role focuses on coordinating critical facility infrastructure initiatives, particularly HVAC and cooling systems that are essential to uptime and operational continuity. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting data center critical facilities, HVAC/mechanical, electrical, or construction functions and will initially lead onsite coordination, vendor management, project tracking, and operational readiness efforts, with opportunities to grow into supporting larger infrastructure upgrades, construction projects, and facility optimization initiatives.
Base pay range: $115,000 - $135,000 (based on relevant experience).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day infrastructure, maintenance, and operational activities within the data center environment.
  • Support project coordination activities related to HVAC, cooling, mechanical, electrical, and critical facility systems.
  • Coordinate vendor scheduling, site access, escorts, work approvals, and onsite contractor activities.
  • Track project milestones, maintenance schedules, deliverables, risks, and action items.
  • Assist with infrastructure expansion projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and operational readiness activities.
  • Coordinate with data center operations, maintenance, and third-party construction/mechanical vendors. Participate in infrastructure planning meetings, site walkthroughs, inspections, and project reviews.
  • Support documentation management including SOPs, MOPs, project documentation, maintenance records, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with inventory coordination, material intake, equipment staging, and asset tracking activities.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate scheduling conflicts, operational concerns, or resource constraints as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, site safety policies, and project procedures.
  • Support contractor coordination involving HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and construction-related work.
  • Develop familiarity with data center power, cooling, structured cabling, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Assist with ongoing infrastructure optimization and operational improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience coordinating infrastructure, facilities, or construction related projects within a data center or mission-critical environment.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge or hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: HVAC/mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, construction coordination, or critical facilities operations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to track schedules, tasks, and operational dependencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard project tracking/documentation tools.
  • Comfortable working onsite within a data center.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, cooling, or mechanical infrastructure systems.
  • Exposure to electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, generators, or critical power infrastructure.
  • Experience working with contractors, maintenance vendors, or construction teams.
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools, maintenance coordination, or asset management processes.
