Your Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead a critical divestiture initiative within a life sciences/pharmaceutical environment. This position includes end-to-end responsibility for IT separation activities, including applications and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will oversee complex, cross-functional programs involving software separation, infrastructure separation, data center migration, and vendor selection. This role requires strong technical fluency, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and proven experience delivering large-scale IT programs in regulated environments. IT Program Managers are responsible for coordinating multiple work streams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring delivery against defined business outcomes.

This is a 6-month contract role supporting a high-visibility transformation initiative.
  • Lead and manage an IT divestiture program, including:
  • Application/software separation.
  • Infrastructure separation.
  • Migration of infrastructure to a new data center.
  • Vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams to ensure alignment with overall program objectives and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, including scope, schedule, and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and external vendors.
  • Establish and manage program governance, including status reporting, risk tracking, and executive updates.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data separation, system migration, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure cybersecurity considerations are embedded throughout all program activities
  • Manage stakeholder communication across technical teams, business units, and senior leadership.
  • Drive alignment between technology initiatives and business goals, ensuring successful program outcomes.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in IT Program Management, delivering large-scale, cross-functional IT initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing M&A or IT divestiture programs, including system and infrastructure separation.
  • Strong experience with:
  • Infrastructure and application environments.
  • Data center migrations.
  • Vendor selection and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/work streams within a program environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in enterprise IT programs.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar).
  • Expertise in program governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No C2C at this time.

Adhering to the requirements of Maryland's law on salary transparency, the salary bracket for this role is set between $180,000 - $200,000 annually. The salary offered may be adjusted based on various factors such as the applicant's qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
