Job description

GovCIO is currently working on a proposal with the Department of State and is looking for an Infrastructure and Application Support Manager. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will require occasional travel to customer site periodically.
Responsibilities
The Infrastructure and Applications Support Manager is responsible for global infrastructure operations and systems administration, database administration, network operations, and application support for all CA systems and services, including domestic data centers, domestic passport centers, visa processing centers, and overseas posts. This role oversees Tier II and Tier III support for databases (e.g., Oracle and MS SQL Server), applications (e.g., web applications, imaging and archiving, client-server, and specialized applications), and network infrastructure
(e.g., LAN, WAN, MPLS Firewalls). This role ensures enterprise infrastructure and applications meet defined service levels and oversees geographically dispersed technical teams and infrastructure, including converged server/storage solutions and cloud migrations.
Qualifications
Bachelors with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
  • Current PMI/PMP certification.
  • 7+ years managing infrastructure, systems, databases, network, and application operations and projects at multiple locations with dispersed teams; similar in size, scope, and complexity.
  • At least five years of experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server database administration and management.
  • Expertise managing network operations including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and firewall
    management

Clearance Required: Active Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • At least three years of experience providing full life cycle and operations support for Windows and Linux systems.
  • At least five years supporting Data Center Operations including server farms, networking equipment, and storage solutions (e.g., Cisco Routers and Switches, Firewalls, and Netapp/Dell EMC).
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
    certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+
  • ITIL Foundation Level Certification Version 5 or higher.
  • Experience with SDLC Process and application support methodologies
