Job description

Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer – MSP

Location: Princeton, NJ

Job Summary

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer with Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience to provide technical support for desktops, laptops, hardware, software, and end-user IT environments. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting multiple users, clients, and technologies in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop and end-user technical support.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and peripheral issues.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows desktops and laptops.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access-related issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
  • Perform desktop deployments, upgrades, imaging, and hardware replacements.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity, VPN, and Wi-Fi issues.
  • Use ticketing systems to document, track, and resolve support requests.
  • Provide remote and onsite support to users and clients.
  • Work in an MSP environment supporting multiple clients and priorities.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of Desktop Support or IT Support experience.
  • Strong experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and user account administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, VPN, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with remote support and ticketing tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Experience with RMM and PSA tools.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
