GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Reporting Analyst III is a technology professional responsible for helping to lead the College's reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. This role provides technical leadership in design, development, administration, and optimization of enterprise reporting solutions, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau Cloud, Entrinsik Informer, and related data systems.
Working closely with leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams, the position serves as a trusted advisor in transforming business needs into secure, scalable, and data-driven solutions. The Systems Reporting Analyst III leads complex projects, establishes reporting standards and best practices, drives data governance and quality initiatives, and supports strategic planning efforts to enhance informed decision-making.
The typical working schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and mentor reporting services team members, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support.
  • Manage and lead reporting and dashboard development projects, including planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and successful delivery of solutions.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using SSRS, Tableau, Entrinsik Informer and related reporting tools. Generate routine and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Partner with stakeholders and senior leadership to gather business requirements, define objectives, and translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for reporting services, data architecture, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database solutions, including queries, views, stored procedures, and data integrations.
  • In collaboration with others, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.
  • Perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and data interpretation to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to lead a large and small project (Large is over 400hrs and more than 1 team member).
  • Assume ownership of project deliverables by independently planning and executing assigned work, regularly reporting progress to management, and proactively escalating risks, dependencies, and schedule variances to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to project methodologies, timelines, and organizational standards.
  • Provide technical support and problem resolution for reporting systems, user access issues, and reporting-related applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, reporting logic, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize business processes, reporting capabilities, and system efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across the organization to support strategic initiatives, innovation, and effective service delivery.

  • Monitor and evaluate system, report, and data performance, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in reporting, systems analysis, data analytics or business intelligence.
  • 5+ years of experience in one of the following reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Informer or SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including the ability to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple enterprise systems and databases.
  • Experience translating business requirements into reporting solutions, metrics, dashboards, and actionable insights for business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
  • Experience with Python, R and data modeling a plus.
  • Experience in higher education or similar organization.
