IT Support Specialist
DonorConnect is looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist to add to our team. This position is perfect if you are a natural problem solver, with a solid background in helpdesk or desktop support. If you enjoy working with tech and with people, apply now!
DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs, tissues, and eyes to be used for life-saving transplants. Our employees help save and heal lives! We offer an attractive salary designed to attract and retain qualified individuals.
Working as an IT Specialist for DonorConnect will give you the opportunity to do lots of different things. You will assist our Manager of Information Technology with the day-to-day operations of our IT program. You will be the go-to for any first level IT support issues including hardware and software troubleshooting, fixing network issues, operating system errors, printing, and account access issues. You will install software and hardware as necessary, help move and change computer workstations, printers, phones, conference rooms, and other peripheral devices. You will analyze logs and identify potential issues. As the IT Specialist you document, track, and monitor our problem resolution process and ensure that user requests are completed accurately and on time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training/Education/Certification:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or similar field preferred, and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

Experience Required:
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Support on operating systems, such as Windows
  • Support on a wide range of applications, including Office 365 and Microsoft Office
  • Support for conference room/hybrid workforce solutions
  • Support for various phone and voice applications
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to move up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
