Job description

Cognizant is seeking an IT Asset Management Associate for a full time opportunity in Detroit, MI. Qualified candidates must have valid US work authorization. Cognizant will not offer visa sponsorships now or anytime in the future.
The qualified candidate will be the Central SPOC for managing IT assets (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across USA & Canada. The role will be responsible for inventory, logistics, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management covering Laptops, Desktops, printers, factory PCs/devices, and spare parts.
Responsibilities:
  • Central SPOC for managing IT assets (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across USA & Canada
  • Covers laptops, Desktops, printers, factory PCs/devices, and spare parts
  • Responsible for inventory, logistics, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management
  • Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle (procurement - deployment - tracking - disposal)
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory in ITSM/CMDB tools
  • Handle receiving, shipping, and tracking of devices and spares across locations
  • Monitor stock levels and trigger hardware/spare ordering (DaaS & Non-DaaS)
  • Coordinate device imaging, staging, and deployment readiness
  • Act as SPOC for logistics coordination with warehouses, sites, and vendors
  • Manage vendor/OEM coordination for hardware break-fix issues
  • Track and manage warranty status (in-warranty & out-of-warranty)
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support (laptops, printers, peripherals)
  • Execute secure asset disposal and maintain compliance records.

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of IT Asset Management experience using End user hardware and software, Tracking, reporting, life-cycle management and attention to details.
  • 2 to 3 years of ITShop, Service Now and CMDB experience.
  • Experience with Vendor Consolidation and Logistics Management.
