POSITION SCOPE:

Under general supervision, the System Analyst will be engaged in the assessment, planning, and design of functional/technical solutions in support of the business operations for the Customer Applications of the AES US Utility Business. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and building recommendations.

This position will also be responsible for defining, managing, and executing budgets to ensure the Customer Information Systems operate reliably 24/7, as well as implementing application enhancements that improve business performance and operational efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with internal business and digital partners to define, understand and implement Customer Information System Roadmap
  • Work with internal and external partners to manage integrations between CIS and other systems or channels
  • Ensure Change and Security Management Process are being performed under ITGC compliance rules
  • Drive the design of technology solutions to include development, testing and business requirements of internal customers
  • Validate final technology solutions and ensure the associated design is compliant with the system architectural standards and aligned with business strategies and goals.
  • Problem resolution and on-call support will be required as part of 24x7 application support

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must have an associate's degree in computer science, or a related field from an accredited college and/or university
  • Minimum of three (3) years' recent verifiable experience in a similar business analyst position with a large multi-national firm.
  • Previous recent verifiable experience working with Customer Billing using SAP-ISU.
  • Must have three (3) years of recent verifiable experience in full lifecycle of custom software projects building design, development, testing, quality assurance, support, enhancement, and maintenance.
  • Must have the ability to perform technical project management to achieve expected results in a timely fashion
  • Candidates must have strong analytical skills and good business process knowledge to include strong computer skills
  • Will be asked to provide recent verifiable examples of strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must demonstrate excellent teamwork, documentation, and communication skills (both oral and written)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Previous Electric Utility experience a major plus
  • Ability to act as a team leader and project manager
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs
