Job description

Overview:

Responsible for the day-to-day support activities of the Information Services department at the Six Flags Darien Lake. This position is designed to supervise and support hotel technology, ongoing corporate initiatives, local park projects, and the development of seasonal employees. The Information Services Supervisor is responsible for maintaining systems in all areas of the property and works closely with management, corporate support teams, and vendors.

Starting Rate begins at $55,000 annual salary.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide first level technical support to resort guests and staff in a positive and professional manner.
  • Provide first level support for hotel property management systems in coordination with vendor and corporate support teams.
  • Provide after hours and on-call support, as assigned, for urgent issues as needed to support a 24/7 operation of park property.
  • Proactively maintain technical equipment to limit downtime for on-site operational and administrative systems including desktop hardware and software, network equipment, point of sale systems, phone, audio-video systems.
  • Monitor and maintain park-wide sound and video equipment.
  • Supervise seasonal team members in the department including hiring, training and performance evaluation while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local labor laws.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions through use of help desk software.
  • Escalate support issues as needed to the appropriate Six Flags or third-party support teams.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all Six Flags Information Services Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in the planning of projects to support company and park initiatives and provide status updates to the same on the execution of projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the resort.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in systems support or related field required.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of common operating systems, hardware and software.
  • Previous experience with hospitality systems preferred, but not required.
  • Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications is required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately to solve problems.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
