What does an information security assurance analyst do?

An Information Security Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that an organization's information systems are secure and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. They assess risks, develop security policies, and conduct audits to identify vulnerabilities. Additionally, they recommend improvements, monitor security controls, and help educate staff on security best practices. Their work is crucial for protecting sensitive data and maintaining the integrity of IT systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an information security assurance analyst?

To thrive as an Information Security Assurance Analyst, you need a solid understanding of information security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks, often supported by a degree in cybersecurity or IT and relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISA.
