Naval Operational Planner, Senior

The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and askquestions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of ourclients' most complex problems-and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

As a senior Strategic Advisor for Naval Operational Planning, you'll bring your experience at Fleet and Combatant Commands and your expertise in Deliberate and Crisis Action planning to work alongside thought leadersin consulting and analytics on projects for our Navy client. You'll use your skills and expertise to assist in the development, drafting, wargaming, and management of contingency plans.

Work with us to assist our clients in identifying force and capability gaps, analyze operational response options, develop mission command orders, and ensure plans align with and support higher headquarters direction.

You served your country as military operational planner. Further yourcareer while creating mission-forward solutions that matter.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience with the military or government, including contract support to military commands

  • 10+ years of experience supporting Joint or Navy operations in support of Echelon III or higher headquarters staff

  • 10+ years of experience with Navy or Joint Operational Planning

  • 10+ years of experience conducting operational analysis to identify gaps in force capabilities or developing vulnerability and gap assessments

  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning and Execution Process, Operational Design, and Joint Exercise Life Cycle process

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with operational planning on a Combatant Command staff

  • Experience managing an Operational Plans Element or Maritime Operations Center

  • Experience leading Operational Planning Teams

  • Experience leading Crisis Action Planning teams

  • Completion of JPME II or Joint Specialty Officer Designated

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
