Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • The Health Information Management Associate provides personalized customer service to all requestors in accordance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, and federal and state statutes. Assists the physicians and other medical/healthcare staff in completing chart documentation in accordance to guidelines, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the medical staff and CMS standards. Helps to provide patient information for patient care and must stay informed on current release of information requirements. Answers and responds to phone calls and chart requests. Performs assigned duties in the Electronic Medical Record related to abstracting, record completion, scanning and archiving. Maintains position policy and procedures. Performs all other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by leadership to ensure best practice in acute and ambulatory settings.
