Founded more than 100 years ago and headquartered in Springfield, Oregon, Rosboro is North America's premier producer of glue-laminated timber (glulam). Rosboro operates fleet of vertically integrated manufacturing facilities in Springfield and Veneta, including log yards, sawmills, dry kilns, planer mills, and glulam production plants. Our portfolio of glulam products provides the construction industry with a wide range of structural framing solutions through our nationwide network of wholesale distribution partners.
Rosboro is seeking a full-time Glulam Scheduler to plan and coordinate the flow of made-to-order Custom Glulam through manufacturing and delivery at our Vaughn (Veneta) location. This position plays a critical role in keeping production aligned with customer commitments while responding to the changing demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and adjust Custom Glulam production schedules to meet customer commitments and effectively utilize production capacity.
  • Coordinate custom orders through manufacturing based on specifications, materials, production capabilities, and delivery requirements.
  • Partner with Sales, Production, Shipping, and Leadership to establish priorities and keep work on schedule.
  • Monitor production progress and quickly adjust schedules as priorities, materials, equipment, or operating conditions change.
  • Consider upstream and downstream impacts when making scheduling decisions to maintain efficient production flow.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, bottlenecks and proactively develop solutions.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of Glulam beam layups and appearances, manufacturing standards, and company production capabilities to make informed scheduling decisions.
  • Clearly communicate schedule priorities, changes, and concerns across affected departments.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling information in Infor M3 and other systems and track critical orders through completion.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling, production flow, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, production control, logistics, or a related manufacturing role.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and math skills with the ability to accurately interpret specifications, measurements, and production data.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to understand how scheduling decisions impact production efficiency, customer commitments, and overall business objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (including the ability to analyze and solve problems with Excel) and experience with ERP or scheduling systems; Infor M3 experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable with a strong commitment to seeing priorities through to completion.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with Glulam or other engineered wood products experience.
