Job description

Part-Time | Remote | 20–25 Hours/Week

We’re a growing travel and e-commerce startup looking for someone who is equal parts creative thinker, strong communicator, and excellent executor.

This role was previously handled directly by the founders, including influencer partnerships, organic social ideas, creator briefs, managing two virtual assistants, and some higher-profile creator relationships. As we grow, we’re looking for someone who can gradually take ownership of this function.

This is not a basic social media scheduling role. We want someone with strong taste, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to actually move ideas from concept to completion.

What You’ll Do

Influencer Partnerships

  • Manage and guide two virtual assistants who help with inbound creator requests and outreach
  • Review inbound collaborations and make the final call on which creators are a strong fit
  • Proactively identify and reach out to creators we want to work with
  • Develop custom concepts for higher-value influencers
  • Review deliverables, give feedback, follow up, and make sure collaborations get completed
  • Build relationships with creators over time

We already have active opportunities with larger influencers, public figures, and celebrities. These relationships are currently handled by the founders. Once you prove your judgment, communication, and execution, there will be opportunities to join those conversations and gradually take on more responsibility.

Organic Social & Creative Strategy

  • Develop Instagram carousel and Reel concepts
  • Create clear briefs for graphic designers and creators
  • Write hooks, headlines, captions, and short-form copy when needed
  • Develop creator-specific concepts rather than relying only on standard briefs
  • Stay on top of travel, social, creator, and cultural trends
  • Find ways to make product content useful, entertaining, and shareable rather than overly promotional

Execution & Communication

Ideas are only valuable if they get executed.

You should be comfortable:

  • Following up proactively
  • Catching details before they become problems
  • Making sure deadlines and deliverables don’t slip
  • Asking lots of questions when something is unclear
  • Turning scattered founder thoughts into clear next steps
  • Communicating progress without needing to be chased
Please note a lot of the systems have already been built so you'll have it easy in that sense.

The founders move quickly and can sometimes be scatterbrained. We want someone who is comfortable managing up and communicating more with us than we communicate with you.

If you need clarification, ask. If you’re blocked, tell us. If you see something falling through the cracks, fix it or flag it.

Learn Across Channels

We also work with a paid ads agency and an email marketing agency.

You will not manage them, but you may occasionally stay in the loop on what they’re learning so we can apply winning hooks, customer pain points, and messaging across organic social and influencer content.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re likely a strong fit if you are:

  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Proactive and reliable
  • A strong executor
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Strong in English and comfortable with copywriting
  • Creative with good visual taste
  • Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, creators, and current internet culture
  • Genuinely interested in travel
  • Comfortable managing VAs and communicating with creators
  • Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly
  • Comfortable using AI as part of your workflow

Experience in influencer marketing, organic social, DTC/e-commerce, travel, fashion, lifestyle, luggage, or consumer products is a plus.

We’re also open to someone earlier in their career who is sharp, hungry, organized, coachable, and eager to learn.
