Stellar curates and manages the full spectrum of inflight entertainment including movies, television, music, podcasts, cabin announcements, boarding music and more. We have offices and state of the art production studios in Sydney, Los Angeles, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong.


Role and Responsibilities

The Manager, Video Programming is responsible for researching, screening, and evaluating content, and developing high-quality content proposals that meet each airline’s unique requirements. This role will collaborate closely with clients throughout the content selection process and work with our internal content operations and scheduling teams to ensure seamless media processing and delivery.


Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to consistently deliver high quality work against tight deadlines are essential for this role.


Primary Responsibilities includes;

  • Strategic Programming - Assist with curating the airline’s inflight entertainment program every month that includes Film, Television, and other content. Collaborating with Stellar’s acquisition and programming teams to research licensing rights, obtain pricing information and explore cost saving opportunities and beneficial commercial arrangements.
  • Client Satisfaction - You will work with the client every day to meet and manage expectations for all programming related projects
  • Content Screening - Reviewing content to assess appropriateness and alignment with the airline’s content guidelines. Creating content reports to be submitted for airline’s review and approval.
  • Database Management - Ingesting programming proposals into the content management database including all relevant details and metadata. Keeping the overall content library up-to-date.
  • Media Scheduling/Operations - Creating content schedules and internal documentation to support internal operations teams with media processing. Coordinating marketing approvals and sourcing relevant assets from studios and distributors.
  • Stakeholder Management - Maintaining professional relationships with clients distributors, and other stakeholders for the implementation of the content life cycle.
  • Quality Control - Supporting the team with media trouble shooting, including where required, travelling to assist with onsite rack testing. Actively evaluating and improving internal programming processes to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • High Quality Service - We pride ourselves in offering a personalised and dedicated service to our airline & content partners and we need you to be an ambassador for us and the client, including presenting to and servicing our clients to the highest standards.
  • Data Insights & Performance Analysis - Leverage internal analytics tools and third-party data sources (such as Parrot Analytics) to inform programming decisions, identify content performance trends, and support data-led recommendations for airline clients and internal stakeholders.
