Job description

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Infection Prevention. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive infection control programs to safeguard patient and staff health across a regional healthcare system in the Central Plains area of the United States.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain professional communication and collaborative relationships with patients, healthcare teams, contractors, physicians, and external agencies.
  • Perform nursing duties within the scope of your licensure, educating patients and staff on infection prevention techniques to reduce disease transmission.
  • Ensure all patient care and related activities comply with OSHA, Public Health, and CDC standards.
  • Monitor illness trends among staff and patients, reporting outbreaks to appropriate public health authorities.
  • Apply epidemiological principles and statistical methods, including risk stratification, to identify at-risk populations, analyze trends, and design effective prevention strategies.
  • Assess and report environmental risk factors impacting infection control.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support infection prevention efforts.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
  • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
  • Active Registered Nurse license from a compact state or relevant nursing board.

Physical Requirements
