Infection Control Nurse

As an Infection Control Nurse with Countryside Mental Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients and staff. Our organization is committed to providing a maintenance program for individuals with mental illness, and our infection control team is dedicated to preventing and controlling the spread of infections in our facilities.

About the Role:

As an Infection Control Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures

  • Conducting regular surveillance and monitoring of hospital-acquired infections

  • Identifying and investigating potential infection control breaches

  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with infection control guidelines

  • Providing education and training on infection control best practices to staff

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain infection control policies, procedures, and standards

  • Conduct regular infection control audits and inspections

  • Identify and report potential infection control risks and incidents

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state of Kansas

  • Experience in infection control and/or nursing leadership

  • Strong knowledge of infection control principles and guidelines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
