Dental Assistant

Seeking a Dental Assistant who has a passion to help the community by providing dental services in a Denti-Cal based office that doesn't operate a clinical practice but as a private practice for Denti-Cal patients. This office also accepts other insurance, so it is a healthy mixture of insurance base patients. Responsibilities include welcoming patients in the dental office, seating and dismissing patients for the day, preparing patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort, selecting and setting up instruments, equipment and material needed, sterilizing instruments according to state regulations, assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, occasionally undertaking lab tasks as instructed, completing necessary radiographs on patients efficiently and quickly, and keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked. Dental Assistant characteristics include being disciplined, resilient, persistent, conscientious, loyal, ambitious, honest, flexible, and having integrity. Working hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Job type is full-time with a pay range of $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma, graduating from dental assistant school is preferred, dental assistant certification or at least 1 year minimum dental experience, and an X-Ray License. Dental assistant qualifications/skills include dental health maintenance, use of dental technology, infection control, patient services, creating a safe, effective environment, listening, teamwork, and bedside manner.
