Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Job Description

Assist the dentist chair-side during procedures with efficient four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms, set up trays, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment readiness.
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as permitted by state regulations.
Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants.
Perform restorative procedures within EFDA license scope, including placing or contouring fillings and adapting temporary crowns.
Take dental impressions, pour models, and prepare study casts or appliances when within scope.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide thorough post-operative instructions.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including treatment charting and consent forms.
Manage supplies, uphold infection control standards, and comply with OSHA/CDC protocols.

Salary Range

Part-time $25 - $30 per hour

Requirements
