Your Impact in This Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and order parts as needed.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on facility machinery and equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, loaders).
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and pneumatic valves.
  • Weld, fabricate, and patch steel components as needed.
  • Rig and install motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy machinery.
  • Maintain and back up sorting computer software and parameters.
  • Complete daily maintenance logs and manage preventive maintenance programs.
  • Communicate equipment issues across shifts and support team efforts.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees and serve as backup for other technicians.

What You Bring to the Table
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics preferred
  • Glass processing knowledge is a plus
