General Job Duties

  • Travel to customer facilities to collect required engineering data from industrial machinery such as gearboxes, electric motors, pumps, and greased bearings.
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information (i.e., records, reports).
  • Report findings and data to Technical Consultant staff for analysis.
  • Assist with creation of customer engineering design deliverables (i.e. spreadsheet formatting, report generation).
  • Respond to Technical Consultant requests for information by reviewing files, records, and other documents and providing the requested information.
  • Understand and comply with all facility safety procedures and safety training requirements including but not limited to OSHA or other regulatory agencies.
  • Other reporting as needed or requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

General Work Conditions

  • Periodic exposure to pollutants, gases, dust or odors, industrial noise levels, very hot or cold temperatures.
  • Wear common protective or safety equipment (i.e. safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and/or life jackets.)
  • Periodic climbing of ladders and/or towers to inspect equipment at a height of up to or greater than 20 feet off the ground.
  • Tolerance to extreme ambient environmental conditions.
  • Various work environments (industrial & office).
  • 50-75% travel.

Knowledge, SKILLS, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software programs such as: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to identify asset data points and inputting relevant information into a proprietary Excel-based database.
  • Must be able to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and in presenting ideas in written format or orally.
  • Strong ability to multi-task an establish priorities.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to a changing environment in a growing company.
  • Physical requirements/abilities of this position can include but are not limited to: the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, moving objects in an industrial setting, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and other repetitive physical motions.
  • Required use of office equipment can include but is not limited to: copier, shredder, scanner, phone, mouse, keyboard, computer, and multi-function printers.
  • Maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with a range of people.
  • Must have the ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Have the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Should be able to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong โ€“ does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • Must be able to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Need the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.

Minimum EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & LICENSURE Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with machinery or operation is highly preferred.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check/Drug Screen.
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Industrial Background & Mechanical Aptitude a Plus
