Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for diversified duties including: preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and service on production and facility equipment according to safety and operational specifications. Additionally, it would require availability to be on call for certain circumstances including: emergency grounds work such as snow removal, power outages and machine or equipment failures. Professional level experience in industrial or electrical service and repair required. Utilization and familiarity with hand tools and test equipment will be required to perform work. This position requires knowledge of electrical and mechanical information and communication with the production departments regularly in order to maintain peek operation of equipment. This position may also require travel between our three facilities located in Springfield, IL.
  • Responsible for installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and service on production and facility equipment according to safety and operational specifications
  • Industrial electrical service and repair work
  • Maintain facility and equipment for peak operational performance
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
  • Availability to be on call for certain circumstances including: emergency grounds work such as snow removal, power outages and machine or equipment failures
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions along with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to stand, bend or work in various positions.
  • Must be able to work inside or outside in varied environmental conditions and in inclement weather.
  • Experience working in a low-supervision environment required
  • Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly

Salary Description
$25/hr
