Job description

Description
You know the mining industry. You have the relationships. You know how to win work. Now you're ready to lead the business.
Prime Field Service is looking for a General Manager who can take an established field service organization and help lead its next stage of growth.
This is an opportunity for a proven mining and heavy industrial sales professional who is ready for more than a sales title. You'll have a seat at the leadership table, influence the direction of the business, and lead the teams responsible for delivering what you sell.
But make no mistake-this is a working General Manager position.
We aren't looking for someone to sit behind a desk and manage reports. We want someone who enjoys being in front of customers, walking mine sites, building relationships, finding opportunities, and closing business.
What You'll Own
  • Growth: Personally develop and close new mining and heavy industrial business.
  • Relationships: Grow key accounts and use your established industry network to open new doors.
  • Leadership: Lead Sales, Estimating and Operations while developing the leaders underneath you.
  • Operations: Ensure the organization can successfully deliver what we sell-on time, on budget and to customer expectations.
  • Profitability: Own revenue, margins, backlog, forecasting and overall PFS business performance.
  • Strategy: Help determine where PFS goes next-new customers, markets, capabilities and opportunities.

Our operational team already provides the field leadership necessary to coordinate manpower, equipment, tooling and project execution, allowing the GM to remain focused on customers, growth and overall business performance.
Who We're Looking For
You may be a Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Director or industrial leader who knows you're capable of running more of the business.
You bring:
  • A proven mining and heavy industrial sales background.
  • An established network of mining-industry contacts-this is essential.
  • Relationships with mine operators, plant/mill leadership, maintenance and reliability teams, procurement, engineering, OEMs and other industry decision-makers.
  • A track record of personally developing and closing significant B2B industrial business.
  • Strong understanding of mine and mineral-processing operations and the MSHA environment.
  • Leadership ability-you can build accountability without losing the relationships that make people want to work with you.
  • The willingness to travel, get on site and stay connected to the customer.

Why Prime Field Service?
This isn't an opportunity to inherit a title and maintain the status quo.
It's an opportunity to help shape a business.
Prime Field Service provides millwright services, field machining, mechanical repair, rotating equipment support, balancing and vibration services, emergency response and other specialized industrial services.
You'll have experienced field leadership and craftspeople behind you, established capabilities to sell, and the ability to work across Prime Field Service and Prime Machine to solve customer problems.
If you've built the relationships, earned credibility in the mining industry, and are ready to move from selling the business to helping lead it-we want to talk to you.
