Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer Student is responsible in helping the Continuous Improvement Coordinator for planning, guiding, and developing Continuous Improvement and LEAN activities for the manufacturing of custom HVAC products.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Continuous Improvement of processes with a focus on lead time, productivity, quality, and competitiveness
  • Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement and LEAN activities such as 5S, VSM, Kaizen events that drive business improvement
  • Implements a Lean management system and ensures that all elements such as standardized processes are in place to drive sustainable results
  • Provide useful training and support for all Continuous Improvement activities and concepts to employees
  • Sponsor the coordination of improvement processes between the employees & departments in order to improve the standardization of business practices
  • Collaborate with our corporate Lean team (Marmon) to ensure the cohesion of local activities and the production of reports, update, and communication
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
