Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a technically focused Sr. Engineering Manager in the posting locations below. In this role, you will provide engineering, staff support, and QC/QA services for transportation roadway and street projects. Services are for local, statewide, and nationwide clients in the support of multiple planning and design projects.
Posting Locations for this role: Belleville, Champaign, Effingham, Lisle, Normal, Peoria, Pontiac, Springfield, Tinley Park, IL; Nashville, TN; St. Louis, MO; or Remote
What You'll Do:
  • Engineer, support, and provide QC/QA for projects related to transportation planning and design
  • Develop and mentor staff
  • Collaborate with other disciplines
  • Develop and maintain Client Relations
  • Establish and maintain budgets and schedules
  • Work in partnership with leadership and other team members throughout the Transportation Group and Company

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program
  • 15+ years of transportation experience with diverse project experience
  • Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience working on and with IDOT, County, and Local Agency projects
  • Proven leadership skills with engineering staff
  • Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Ability to effectively manage clients and deliver successful projects
  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD.
