Job description

Industrial Engineer - Logistics
Role Overview
As an Industrial Engineer - Logistics, you will be responsible for designing, standardizing, and optimizing logistics and assembly line processes. You will establish time standards, improve ergonomics, reduce waste, and ensure efficient material flow to support production operations. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop standard work and process designs for direct and indirect labor.
  • Establish time standards using MOST/MODAPTS/MTM or similar methodologies.
  • Perform line balancing and determine operator requirements for assembly workstations.
  • Identify and reduce Non-Value-Added (NVA) activities, improve ergonomics, and eliminate waste.
  • Create station layouts, part presentations, and material routing for efficient assembly.
  • Map logistics layouts, routes, and part consumption to optimize material flow.
  • Maintain and update the PFEP (Plan for Every Part) database and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to close performance gaps and achieve metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
  • Engage with safety, maintenance, tool room, and vendors to support improvements.
  • Validate kitting logic (time, BOM consumption, model options) and manage kitting systems.
  • Support packaging requirements and generate kit sheets.
  • Participate in daily management systems and kaizen events related to logistics.
  • Provide logistics support during various build stages and coordinate shop floor activities.

  • Education: BS/MS in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical Skills:
