Job description

We are looking for a Communications Assistant to play a pivotal role in amplifying our client's global brand voice across multiple touchpoints. This role is designed for a highly organized, creative, and proactive communicator who can seamlessly deploy internal/external communications and deliver strategic brand positioning. You will be responsible for ensuring the brand story is told authentically to influencers, media, and the client's own internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. External & Internal Communications

Strategic Communications: Support the development of an internal and external communications strategy for the brand, inclusive of drafting internal brand announcements highlighting brand milestones and keeping the brand top of mind for internal teams.

Global Communication: Work within a global matrixed organization to communicate the brand narrative to stakeholders, ensuring consistency with the brand strategy.

2. Thought Leadership & Executive Visibility

Content Drafting: Support the drafting of reactive and proactive LinkedIn articles and industry-facing op-eds for key executives to establish them as experts in beauty-tech and inclusivity.

Platform Research: Identify strategic opportunities for brand leaders to speak at industry panels, webinars, and conferences to support brand campaigns.

Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of beauty industry trends and competitive landscapes to suggest timely topics for thought leadership positioning. Stay in the know on what other industry thought leaders are discussing on their channels.

3. Partnership Management & Product Gifting

End-to-End Execution: Support the conceptualization and distribution product mailers to global ambassadors on an ongoing basis.

Social Listening: Identify opportunities to surprise and delight global influencers and/or consumers who are talking about the brand organically.

Logistics Management: Coordinate with vendors, creative agencies, and warehouse teams to manage inventory, assembly, and timely delivery of global mailers.

Impact Tracking: Monitor social coverage resulting from mailers and provide comprehensive reports on reach, sentiment, and ROI.

4. Administrative Support

Financial Operations: Support the end-to-end financial process, inclusive of Purchase Order creation, invoice submissions and ongoing budget tracking.

Meeting Minutes: Own capturing high-quality meeting notes and ensuring action items are distributed to team members in a timely manner.

Database Management: Archive and save all important documents (contracts, decks, etc.) into designated brand servers. Create and maintain master trackers (global partner's information, media contacts, etc.) ensuring all information is accurate. Upload global assets to the client's product management system on an ongoing basis. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and find creative solutions when logistics get tricky. This role is ideal for an individual who loves connecting with people internally and with external partners and has a genuine love for makeup and believe in the mission of infinite possibilities.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity with several days per week onsite at our client located in Hudson Yards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.

1-2 years of experience in PR or Communications (agency or in-house).

Experience in the beauty or CPG sector is highly preferred.

Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex logistics and multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Digital Savvy: Strong understanding of the social media landscape (TikTok, Instagram) and how it intersects with traditional PR.

Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite required.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $76,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.
