This role is part of Alcon's Strategic Supply Organization, a team that manages external manufacturing partners for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

Director, Strategic SourcingResponsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess procurement needs and find strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Oversee supplier relationship management to ensure consistent quality and value.
  • Implement procurement strategies that optimize cost, efficiency, and resilience in the supply chain.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead procurement teams in evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for both direct (raw materials, components) and indirect (information technology, office supplies) categories.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • 6 Years of demonstrated leadership

Compensation

Pay Range 164,050.00 - 212,300.00 Pay Frequency Annual

The salary range posted represents the anticipated hiring range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity, and may fall outside the posted range.
