Job Summary:

As an Independent Sales Agent, you will operate as an independent contractor responsible for developing and managing your own customer relationships to generate freight opportunities for Concept Logistics. You will leverage your existing book of business and industry expertise to negotiate rates, coordinate shipments, and drive revenue growth while maintaining high service standards. Independent Sales Agents determine their own business development strategies and methods while leveraging Concept Logistics operational and administrative support. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is performance-based.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to secure freight opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates and prepare rate confirmations and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate the full shipment lifecycle from booking through delivery, ensuring service expectations are met.
  • Communicate proactively with customers and carriers to resolve service issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipment and client records in accordance with compliance and confidentiality requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee freight movements including order entry, dispatching, tracking, and load completion.
  • Support collections efforts related to freight charges when necessary.
  • Represent Concept Logistics professionally in all client and carrier interactions.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1+ years of experience as a sales agent in the supply chain/logistics industry.
  • Established, transferable book of business required.
  • Strong understanding of carrier operations, dispatching, and rate negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tremendous character with high levels of integrity.
  • Ability to grow and manage long-term client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage business development efforts.
  • Access to a reliable computer, internet connection, and business tools required.


Compensation:

Industry leading commission-based compensation structure (percentage and terms outlined in Independent Contractor Agreement).
