Job description

Summary
Delta Oaks Group is seeking individuals to perform tower and foundation inspection services in the telecommunication vertical. These services include but are not limited to various tower structural, maintenance, construction and foundation inspections. Career and/or educational experience associated with gathering telecommunication structure field data and the inspection methodology required to obtain such data is a plus. 
Positional Responsibilities
This position is responsible for gathering structural field data for telecommunication structures under the direction of the Compliance Manager and Director. The selected individual(s) will be required to perform inspections as a part of a two-person crew with little supervision. Anticipated tasks include but are not limited to: 
  • Ascending telecommunication structures (typically ranging from 10 feet to in-excess of 300 feet of height) to perform structural mappings, maintenance inspections and construction inspections
  • Performing foundation investigations for buried concrete elements to include non-destructive testing, physical probing, hand augering and hand excavation
  • Successfully complete and maintain the required training and certifications to adhere to all government, industry and company standards; including all applicable safety requirements
  • Developing a working knowledge and thorough familiarity with codes and standards relating to telecommunication structures, including TIA/EIA-222 requirements
  • Adhere to all government, industry and safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to work in two-person teams independently with limited supervision
  • Prepare drawings and field sketches
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and professional demeanor while interacting with clients, co-workers, landowners, client representatives and regulatory & safety officials
  • Representing Delta Oaks Group in a professional manner at all times on field rotation trips
  • Appropriate utilization of company equipment and property including adherence to all applicable safety, maintenance, storage and security protocols

The selected individual will be expected to have or develop a thorough understanding of telecommunications mapping services, procedures and techniques. Due to the nature and limited timelines of most projects, the selected candidate(s) should be willing and capable of exhibiting the work ethic and social ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment where timely communication with co-workers is paramount. 
Computer Software Experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel is required
  • Functional proficiency with AutoCAD is preferred

Experience/Minimum Requirements
  • Zero (0) to five (5) years of experience, experienced Inspectors a plus
  • Must have the ability to climb telecommunication structures and possess a labor-intensive attitude
  • Must have the physical ability to probe, hand excavate and drill for foundation and reinforcing steel investigations
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  •  Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s standards — employment contingent upon passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Must be able to work outdoors, with exposure to the elements of nature under normal construction conditions
  • Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch as well as lift weight or exert a force up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to interpret telecommunications tower and foundation design drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, contractors, clients or their representatives
  • Knowledge of bolted and welded connection is preferred
  • Knowledge of tower hardware and components is preferred
  • Knowledge of tower reinforcement/erection and tower construction practices is preferred

Educational Requirements
