To thrive as an Independent Contractor Virtual Financial Controller, you need a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and compliance, typically supported by a degree in accounting or finance and a CPA or similar certification. Proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms like QuickBooks Online, Xero, and advanced Excel skills is essential, along with familiarity with financial reporting systems.
