THE ROLE

The Video Producer, Team Content will support the Creative Video & Content team within Miami Hurricanes Athletics, shaping the stories of Miami's student-athletes, coaches,teamsand culture through high-quality video content.This role is designed for a self-sufficient and highly capable video producer who can independently execute projects from concept through delivery while also collaborating closely with the broader video, creative, social,communicationsand marketing teams. The ideal candidate is a strong shooter and editor who understands sports storytelling, social-first content, fast-paced productionenvironmentsand the importance of elevating the Miami Hurricanes brand across all platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce,shootand edit video content for Miami Hurricanes team and athletics channels, including social media, YouTube, in-venue boards, intro videos, media days, digitalfeaturesand other brand platforms.

  • Independently manage video projects from concept to completion, including planning, filming, editing,revisionsand final delivery.

  • Capture practices, games, press conferences, team events, interviews, behind-the-scenesmomentsand other storytelling opportunities across Miami's 18 varsity sports.

  • Must be willing and available totravel foraway games, postseasoncompetitionsand other team coverage needs across Miami's 18 varsity sports.

  • Create both short-form and long-form video content, including hype videos, cinematic recaps, player features,mic'dup content, social trends,interviewsand episodic/team storytelling.

  • Collaborate with creative, social, communications,marketingand sport-specific staff to develop content that supports team priorities, audiencegrowthand overall brand strategy.

  • Contribute creative ideas for original content concepts, recurringseriesand platform-specific storytelling opportunities.

  • Assistwith pre-production planning, including creative development, shot lists, schedules, productionlogistics, equipmentpreparationand location coordination.

  • Operate cameras, lighting,audioand other production equipment with confidence in a variety of live,controlledand fast-paced environments.

  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Suite tools, with a strong understanding of pacing, music, sound design, color,graphicsand social formatting.

  • Deliver content in multiple formats and aspect ratiosoptimizedfor Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, in-venueboardsand other distribution channels.

  • Assist with NIL, sponsored content and partnership-related video initiatives when needed and when schedule allows.

  • Help organize,archiveand manage video assets, projectfilesand production materials according to department workflows.

  • Guide and mentor student interns or student workers on production basics, editing workflows, gamedaycoverageand creative expectations.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of trends in sports content, social media, digitalstorytellingand emerging production techniques.

  • Represent the department professionally at all times, especially when working withstudent athletes, coaches, staff,partnersand external production contacts.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit high-quality video content independently.

  • Strong portfolio or reelshowcasingsports, social, storytelling, cinematic or branded video work.

  • Experience producing content for social media platforms, athletics departments, teams,brandsor live-event environments preferred.

  • Working knowledge of professional camera systems, audio equipment, lightingsetupsand post-production workflows.

  • Experience in college athletics, professional sports, entertainment,agencyor brand content environments preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong ability to shoot and edit compelling sports video content with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiencywith Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop andadditionalAdobe Creative Suite programs preferred.

  • Strong understanding of social-first video production and platform-specific best practices.

  • Ability to tell clear, engaging stories through visuals, sound, pacing,interviewsand natural moments.

  • Strong camera operation skills, including framing, exposure, movement,lightingand audio capture.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positivelyina collaborative team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects,deadlinesand shifting priorities.

  • Comfortable working nights, weekends and non-traditional hours based on team schedules and athletics events.

  • Strong communicationskills and the ability to work professionally with coaches, student-athletes,staffand external partners.

  • Creative mindset with a willingness to bringnew ideas, experiment withformatsand contribute to the growth of the department.

  • Knowledge of college athletics, sportscultureand digital/social content trends preferred.

  • Ability to remain composed and solutions-oriented in fast-paced production environments.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in video production, film, communications, journalism, media, sportsmediaora relatedfield.

  • 1-3 years of professional or high-level collegiate experience in video production, sports content, creativemediaora relatedfield.
