What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Independent Contractor in Transportation, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Independent Contractor in Transportation, you need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and knowledge of logistics or delivery operations. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, route optimization apps, and sometimes commercial driving certifications (like CDL for larger vehicles) is essential. Reliability, time management, and strong customer service skills help you stand out in this role.
