Job description

We're seeking a Senior Programmer with experience in RPG IV to analyze and resolve technical system and application issues, document findings, and recommend effective solutions to support business operations. This role oversees the ongoing operation and maintenance of the IBM iSeries platform while leading projects from definition through implementation, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Your Impact:
  • Design application solutions to existing applications, software and operating systems; maintain a current working knowledge of system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Work at the highest level of all technical phases of programming; requires a high degree of creative thinking and the ability to use the accumulated knowledge and experience of others.
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing IBM iSeries systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems in terms of business processes.
  • Design and develop procedures, both manual and automated, to solve business opportunities.

Successful Candidates Will Have:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in iSeries.
  • Strong proficiency in RPG ILE, RPG, CL, Query, DBU, SQL and DDS.
  • Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and independent motivation.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • WebSmart development tool is a plus.

Pay Range
$80,000 - $120,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
