Position Overview: First Choice Homecare Agency is seeking a skilled and dependable
Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home skilled nursing services for a client in McDonough, GA. This is a
1099 independent contractor role with a flexible schedule based on physician orders.
Client Overview:

- TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) management and administrationย
- Medication administration (subcutaneous injections)
- Abdominal Drain care and Monitoring
- ย Schedule: To Be Determined (pending physician orders and authorization)ย
Compensation:
- $40โ$50 per hour (based on experience and case complexity)ย
- OR $60 per visit (depending on services provided)ย
Key Responsibilities:
- ย Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and plan of careย
- Manage and monitor TPN administration
- Medication administration
- Perform drain care, assessments, and interventions
- ย Monitor patient condition and report changes promptlyย
- ย Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- ย Follow all agency, Medicaid, and state regulatory requirementsย
Minimum Requirements (DBHDD-Aligned Contractor Requirements):
- ย Active Georgia/Compact RN or license (in good standing)ย
- ย Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (homecare, ICU preferred)ย
- ย Current CPR/BLS or ACLS certification
- ย Valid driverโs license and reliable transportationย
- ย Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities standardsย
- ย Negative TB screening/test
- ย Proof of professional liability insurance (required for 1099 contractors)ย
- ย Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- ย Experience with IV therapy/TPN strongly preferred
Required DBHDD Trainings (MANDATORY): Contractors must complete and maintain all required trainings in accordance with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities guidelines, including but not limited to:
- Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Prevention
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Emergency Preparedness & Safety Procedures
- Incident Reporting (Critical Incident Reporting)
- ย Any additional DBHDD-required trainings applicable to the caseย
Note: Proof of completed trainings will be required prior to assignment. Assistance may be provided to obtain required trainings.
