To thrive as an Independent Contractor Maintenance worker, you need strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair, along with relevant trade certifications or licenses. Familiarity with tools such as power drills, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance management systems is crucial. Excellent time management, self-motivation, and effective communication set top performers apart in coordinating projects and client relationships.
