Job description

The Millennia Commercial Group is looking for experienced Security Officers to join our team at Marriott Hotel in Downtown Cleveland. We are looking for individuals available to work 2nd and 3rd shifts.
The Marriott hotel is an iconic building located in the center of Downtown Cleveland. We are striving to be the premier hotel destination in Cleveland and we are looking for individuals who want to be a part of an award-winning team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Enforcement of property rules and regulations in a clear and concise manner
  • Clearly communicate verbal direction and the ability complete written reports. Additional responsibilities include observing and reporting incidents and hazards to management/supervision, responding to emergencies and other tasks as assigned.
  • Monitoring of Camera systems, fire alarm systems and other monitoring systems which protect the interior and exterior of the site
  • Perform routine equipment checks along with the conducting of opening and closing procedures concerning the safety of the building
  • Aid and allow access to authorized personnel and the ability to detect unauthorized personnel. Assist with escorts of personnel, contractors and vendors as needed
  • Work with local authorities and city entities to aid, direct and provide information during an emergency
  • Outstanding Customer Service skills
  • A team player willing to adjust to the needs of the building to provide safe and secure atmosphere for all who visit and work at the property.
  • Greet all guests that enter the hotel and while patrolling corridors.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least (1) years of security, military, safety or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment working for an in-house or contracted security company or guest services position
  • Any personnel with a reasonable combination of prior military or law enforcement, OPATA, Federal Emergency Management or National Incident Management training and/or experience
  • The ability to obtain or have already successfully completed AED/CPR/First Aid Certification
