What is the role about?
The Facility Manager ensures the site operates safely, efficiently, and reliably by overseeing building systems, maintenance, and facility budgets. This role supports employee experience and business continuity through strong coordination with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
Which tasks will you perform?
  • Monitor, maintain and establish preventative-predictive-reactive maintenance for the automation controls, safety & security, HVAC systems, IT/audio & video, lighting, and other infrastructure resources either personally or through the use of contractors when necessary
  • Serve as site Safety Program Coordinator in collaboration with the Safety Manager to implement, enforce and train safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for work site safety practices while detecting and implementing corrective actions for existing or potential accident and health hazards
  • Act as the Shipping and Receiving coordinator back up where required to receive, inspect, package, secure and prepare documentation for both functions
  • Maintain and support facility operations, including custodial coordination and meeting room preparation
  • Oversee facility safety protocols including security badge compliance and conducting routine facility inspections to identify issues early and help prevent safety, security, and maintenance concerns
  • Coordinate across departments, vendors, and contractors to support operational needs of facility
  • Manage the facility budget by tracking expenses, implementing energy-saving initiatives, and insourcing work when possible

What do we expect from you?
You will have (required):
  • Associates degree (A.A. or A.S.) in a technical area and at least 3-5 years of related experience (Education may be substituted with experience and/or training)
  • Local travel when necessary, less than 10% of the time
  • Building automation and controls systems experience
  • Plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repair experience

You may have (preferred):
  • Knowledge of budgeting, expense tracking, forecasting, and planning
  • IT, audio/visual repair experience, including basic facility repairs and troubleshooting
  • Completion of OSHA 30 Hour Certificate
  • Previous experience with Environmental & LEED compliance initiatives
  • Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on own initiative
  • Exhibits a proactive and positive approach to embracing and promoting change, with an open and curious mindset towards new ideas and opportunities
  • Builds and maintains strong, trustworthy business relationships, leveraging long-term partnerships to achieve collective success
