The Role

We're looking for a Digital Marketing & Content Consultant, a creative, self-starting individual contractor who can help ICEF amplify its brand and tell its story across digital platforms. This is a part-time engagement, capped at 10 hours per week, and we are specifically seeking an individual independent contractor, not an agency.

This person will work closely with ICEF's Director of Marketing and Communications to execute a consistent content strategy across our social media channels, website, monthly newsletters, and other digital touchpoints.

This role may require travel to our home office and travel to school sites as needed.

Scope of Work

Social Media Management

  • Own day-to-day posting and community management across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Maintain a consistent posting cadence across all four platforms, with content tailored to each channel's audience and format
  • Cross-post and reshare content between platforms as appropriate (e.g., Instagram to Facebook)
  • Develop and maintain a monthly editorial calendar that reflects school events, initiatives, and key moments across all seven campuses
  • Stay current on platform trends and best practices to keep our content fresh and engaging

Video Production, Photography & Editing

  • Capture and produce a range of video and photo content, from short-form social clips to longer, narrative-driven pieces
  • Must be fully comfortable operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras, external microphones, and standard production equipment for both video and photography. This is not a smartphone-only role; professional camera operation is a core requirement
  • This role requires strong storytelling instincts. A significant part of the video work will involve short-form documentary-style content: conducting or facilitating on-camera interviews with students, staff, families, and community members and weaving that footage into clear, authentic, compelling stories
  • Shoot photography for use across social media, the ICEF website, newsletters, and other organizational needs
  • Edit video for multiple formats and destinations, including Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube, the ICEF website, and monthly newsletters, meaning the same content may need to be reformatted and optimized for different platforms and specs
  • Produce video content for non-social purposes as needed, including presentations, special events, and one-off organizational needs
  • Ensure all video and photo content is polished, on-brand, and appropriately formatted for its intended use

Paid Social & Advertising

  • Manage paid social campaigns and boosted posts across Meta platforms (Instagram and Facebook)
  • Strong, hands-on familiarity with Meta Business Suite is a core part of this role
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to set campaign objectives, target audiences, and budgets
  • Monitor ad performance and adjust strategy based on results
  • Include paid social metrics in monthly reporting

Graphic Design

  • Create graphics for social media posts, stories, event promotions, newsletters, and internal communications
  • This role goes beyond social media design. The consultant will take on a range of graphic design projects across the organization, including flyers, printed materials, presentation decks, and other one-off design needs from various departments
  • Support visual asset requests from across the organization, whether or not they are social media related
  • Maintain visual consistency with ICEF's brand standards

Content Strategy & Reporting

  • Build and manage an editorial calendar aligned with our three pillars: Academics, Arts, and Athletics
  • Track performance insights across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Deliver a monthly analytics report with key metrics, trends, and recommendations

Availability
While this is a part-time engagement, we need someone who is reasonably accessible during normal business hours for communication, coordination, and occasional quick turnarounds. Some evening and weekend availability may be required for on-site events, and we'll always do our best to give advance notice.

What We're Looking For

Someone who genuinely enjoys creating content and telling stories, and who has the skills and experience to do it well across a range of formats and platforms.

The video piece is central to this role. We're looking for someone who is comfortable and confident with the full production process, from operating a DSLR or mirrorless camera and external mic on location, to conducting or facilitating on-camera interviews, to editing footage into short-form, documentary-style pieces that feel authentic and human. If that kind of storytelling work excites you, you'll fit right in here.

What This Is Not
This is not a full-time position, and we are not looking to work with a marketing agency or team. We want one dedicated individual who is invested in ICEF's mission and can show up consistently as a trusted creative partner.
