Job Description:

We are seeking a Market Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Technology team. This role focuses on delivering scalable, high-quality market and index data solutions that support investment decision-making across the firm. The position offers exposure to multiple data vendors, platforms, and business-critical use cases within a fast-paced asset management environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with market data and index vendors,specifically focusing onoversight of service delivery, performance,change managementand vendor risk

  • Conduct vendor due diligence and ongoing evaluations to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual obligations

  • Partner with investment teams to gather requirements, resolve data issues, and align solutions with evolving business needs

  • Support data governance efforts, including data quality, lineage, and consistency across platforms

  • Contribute to market data contract negotiations, including analysis of licensing terms, usage rights, and commercial structures

  • Advise internal stakeholders on market data licensing considerations for new products, enhancements, and client use cases

  • Collaboratewith cross-functional teams (Investment Division,Performance & Reporting,Risk, Legal) to deliver compliant, scalable data solutions

  • Monitor industry trends and vendor offerings to inform strategy, negotiations, and risk management

  • Identify and drive improvements in operating models, processes, and controls across market data services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in market data, investment data, or related analytical roles

  • Foundational understanding of market data vendors (e.g., MSCI, FTSE Russell, Bloomberg), their methodologies, data products and general taxonomy

  • Understanding of key investment data domains, including security master, index data, positions (IBOR/ABOR), trades, performance, and analytics

  • Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python is a plus

  • Experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake,dbt,Fivetran)
