  • Assist with migrating existing on-premises infrastructure into Microsoft Azure.
  • Deploy and maintain Azure networking components including Virtual Networks, VPN Gateways, Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, Bastion, and Load Balancers.
  • Support Azure SQL Server deployments and future cloud data platform initiatives.
  • Assist with implementing Azure Batch and scalable compute resources supporting engineering workloads.
  • Monitor system health, availability, security, and performance while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Manager on cloud architecture, security improvements, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Participate in future multi-cloud initiatives involving AWS and Google Cloud Platform as business needs evolve.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational standards, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex infrastructure issues while partnering with the IT Service Desk to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Four (4) or more years of experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 identity services.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and administering Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, VPNs, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and related Azure services.
  • Working knowledge of Azure networking concepts including routing, VPNs, firewalls, and network security.
  • Experience migrating servers or applications into Microsoft Azure.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting Azure SQL Server environments.
  • Experience with Azure Batch or other high-performance compute environments.
