Job description

Income Tax Accountant-CPA needed for our client in Thorofare, NJ.

They are a growing public accounting firm and they are looking to expand their team!

The ideal candidate must hold a CPA or EA Designation.


Salary: $75,000 to $95,000
Hours/Schedule:  Standard Business Hours M-F in office (Longer hours during tax season); Thorofare, NJ
Benefits: Medical, Dental, discretionary 401K, PTO, and 20% commission on fees collected for clients brought in.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual income tax returns (1040s) and related schedules.
  • Prepare business tax returns as needed (partnerships, corporations, S-Corps).
  • Perform tax planning and consulting for individuals and closely held businesses.
  • Research federal and state tax issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer tax questions.
  • Assist with financial reporting and accounting engagements.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience preparing individual income tax returns.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA or EA designation required.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements during tax season
