Job description

Job Description Onsite -100% onsite in Chelsea, Michigan The Global Transmission Calibration Engineer will be responsible playing an integral part for developing the customer driving experience as well as optimizing fuel economy. Key activities include developing, verifying and releasing transmission calibrations for automatic transmission applications, performing hands-on, in-vehicle calibration development work, supporting test trips to verify proper transmission operation across environmental conditions and other assigned powertrain development activities. In addition, this position will work to coordinate activities of global teams conducting various aspects of vehicle development for global markets.

This position will work with in-vehicle test instrumentation, ETAS-INCA calibration tools and mathematical analysis tools such as Matlab to meet objectives. This role is responsible for working with a global team to manage transmission calibration project deliverables for assigned projects. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering 3 Years experience in Powertrain Calibration or related field INCA/Canalyzer experience Prior Automotive Experience (University SAE or other experience is acceptable) Excellent written and Oral communication skills MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Product Proficiency Desire to perform in-vehicle test and development work in addition to analysis "desk" work Willingness to work with global teams Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science Degree in Engineering Additional Must Haves: Location: 100% onsite in Chelsea, MI Driving required - to drive m-plate Travel: About 20% travel, US domestic travel to cover test trips.
