Job description

Are you an experienced hospitality professional who loves the energy of events, building client relationships, and seeing an experience come to life? A well-established, high-volume hospitality and catering organization is seeking an experienced Wedding Catering Sales Manager to take ownership of its thriving business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from hotel catering sales, private events, restaurant events, off-premise catering, banquet sales, or wedding/venue sales who wants an established book of business with significant opportunity to grow. This is not a wedding planner position. We are looking for a hospitality professional who understands food & beverage, events, and exceptional client service.

Why This Opportunity?
  • $45K–$55K base + uncapped 2% F&B commission
  • Typical earning potential of approximately $60K–$90K+ based on production
  • Additional quarterly bonus opportunity
  • Established, high-volume wedding business with strong inbound lead flow
  • Hundreds of weddings annually with multiple events executed on peak weekends
  • Strong existing relationships with area venues and wedding planners
  • Opportunity to truly own and grow the wedding sales segment
  • Mileage reimbursement for eligible business travel
What You'll Do
  • Own wedding catering clients from initial inquiry through wedding-day handoff
  • Conduct consultations and sell customized food & beverage experiences
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, menus, event details, and BEOs
  • Manage a strong pipeline of inbound wedding inquiries while developing additional referral business
  • Build relationships with wedding planners, venues, and industry partners
  • Partner closely with chefs and catering operations to ensure flawless execution
  • Review event timelines, layouts, rental orders, guest counts, menus, service details, and other event logistics
  • Attend bridal showcases, networking opportunities, and venue events as appropriate
  • Make appearances at active weddings to greet the client/planner, ensure details are on track, and provide a seamless handoff to the onsite operations team

Wedding-day presence does not mean staying for the entire event. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of being the familiar face a client has trusted throughout the process.

What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality, catering sales, event sales, hotel catering, private events, banquet/events, venue sales, restaurant events, or food & beverage
  • Strong understanding of catering and event execution
  • Experience with BEOs, event proposals, contracts, menus, and client detailing preferred
  • Genuine sales ability with strong relationship-building and follow-up skills
  • Warm, polished, client-facing personality
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple events simultaneously
  • Solutions-oriented hospitality mindset and ability to work with a wide range of clients and budgets
  • Comfortable collaborating with culinary and operations teams
  • Experience with Caterease, Delphi, Tripleseat, Salesforce, or similar event/CRM platforms is helpful but not required
  • Wedding experience is a plus, but strong hotel, restaurant, catering, or event experience can absolutely translate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including select evenings and weekends based on wedding activity

If you're currently succeeding in hotel catering sales or private events but are ready for an opportunity where you can own your client relationships, earn uncapped commission, and become a recognized part of the local wedding and hospitality community, we'd love to hear from you.
