Inbound Outbound Sales Representative information

What does an inbound outbound sales representative do?

An Inbound Outbound Sales Representative is responsible for handling both incoming and outgoing sales calls. Inbound sales involve responding to inquiries from potential customers, providing information, and closing sales. Outbound sales focus on proactively reaching out to leads or existing clients to promote products or services, follow up on previous communications, and generate new business opportunities. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and strong sales acumen.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an inbound outbound sales representative?

To excel as an Inbound Outbound Sales Representative, you need strong communication skills, persuasive selling techniques, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, sales tracking tools, and call center systems is typically required. Resilience, active listening, and a customer-focused attitude are vital soft skills that set top performers apart. These abilities are crucial for consistently meeting sales targets, building strong client relationships, and efficiently managing multiple leads in a competitive environment.

How do inbound outbound sales representatives typically balance handling incoming inquiries with pursuing outbound leads throughout the day?

Inbound Outbound Sales Representatives usually split their time between responding to incoming customer inquiries and proactively reaching out to potential clients. This balance requires strong time management skills and the ability to quickly switch between reactive and proactive selling techniques. Most teams use CRM systems to organize daily tasks, track leads, and schedule follow-ups, ensuring no opportunity is missed. Collaboration with marketing and customer support teams is common to ensure consistent messaging and a smooth customer experience.

Job Type: Contract
Experience: 0–3 years preferred in outbound sales, SDR, or growth marketing roles
About TechRyde:
TechRyde is a global leader in AI-powered Kitchen Automation and digital ordering solutions for the restaurant and hospitality industry. With operations across the US, Asia, and beyond, TechRyde combines deep industry expertise with cutting-edge technology to transform the way restaurants run their kitchens and engage customers. We are now looking for a driven Outbound Sales Representative to help us scale our outbound engine and bring TechRyde to hundreds of new restaurant brands.
Your Role:
You will own the outbound prospecting and engagement process, from identifying leads to booking demos. You’ll work closely with leadership and play a key role in building a predictable sales pipeline. You will receive full product training and the necessary knowledge required to confidently sell TechRyde’s solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Business Development

• Focus primarily on business development in the metro cities.
• Identify and build high-quality lead lists using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar platforms.
• Conduct outreach via cold email, LinkedIn, phone calls, in-person visits, referrals, networking, or any other effective method.
• While email marketing is encouraged, leads may be generated through any channel or strategy you find effective — what matters most is delivering qualified leads.
• Visit restaurants and hospitality businesses where applicable.
• Submit all qualified leads through the company Google Form with accurate decision-maker contact details.
• Arrange virtual demos with restaurant operators on a weekly basis (no minimum or maximum; the more, the better).
• Ensure proper follow-ups, reminders, and no-show recovery.
• Participate in regional business development activities and customer meetings if required.

 Reporting:
• All prospects and leads must be entered into the company’s Google Form immediately after qualification.
• Ensure decision-maker details and complete contact information are collected.

Compensation & Incentives:
This is a commission-based contractor role with no fixed monthly pay.

Incentive Structure:
• $20 will be paid for every qualified lead that successfully results in a booked demo with the decision-maker.

• $500 for every lead that converts into a paying customer.

A “Qualified Lead” is defined as a decision-maker or authorized representative from a restaurant/hospitality business who demonstrates genuine interest and agrees to explore a demo or further discussion.

Commission Terms:
• Commission payments will be made within 10 days after TechRyde successfully receives invoice payment from the customer.
• Product subscription pricing currently ranges between USD $150 per month per location (subject to change).
• Tax deductions may apply as per applicable law.

• Technical features and integrations
• Industry positioning and sales strategy

This support is designed to help you confidently communicate our value proposition and build a strong sales pipeline.

What You Bring?
• 0–3 years of experience in SDR, outbound sales, growth, or SaaS roles.
• Proven ability to book meetings and generate pipeline.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on conversion optimization.
• Self-driven, proactive, and performance-oriented.
