BASIC JOB SUMMARY:
The Residential Account Manager will be responsible for selling our fiber optic internet packages to new and existing customers entirely over the phone. Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills who can explain the benefits of fiber technology, overcome objections, and achieve sales targets in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for growing, servicing, and retaining a residential customer base in a fast paced and competitive environment
  • Responsible for selling into fringe market areas to expand and grow residential bases
  • Initiate and manage sales conversations through outbound and inbound calls to potential and existing customers
  • Stay abreast of company products and industry trends to best meet the needs of the customer
  • Listen to customer needs and recommend tailored fiber internet plans and add-on services that address their specific requirements
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and objections in a professional and persuasive manner
  • Accurately document all customer interactions, sales activities, and relevant information using the company's CRM software
  • Interact with customers to build relationships that promote satisfaction in TEC brands and products leading to referrals
  • Research, prepare, and present solutions for residential customers that would include, but not be limited to voice, data, and wi-fi management
  • Coordinate and assist with Sales and Customer Experience to ensure the satisfaction and security of customers
  • Demonstrate willingness to remain flexible in work scheduling to achieve necessary call results
  • Serve as a team player working well with customers, business sales team, and other departments within TEC's organization

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Special projects as requested by the Sales Operations Manager

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience - A high school diploma or equivalent is required; however, a two-year associate degree from a junior college is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of computer experience and experience in Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Proven experience in telesales, telemarketing, or inside sales role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Exceptional verbal communication skills and a compelling phone presence. Strong persuasive and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing sales. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to maximize call volume and sales opportunities. Requires excellent written and verbal skills.
