Job description

Job Summary
The Inbound Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in and stocking new inventory into the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which include Powered Industrial Trucks. Cross-training opportunities may be required. We offer on-site training and mentoring for all positions.

Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
  • Use our internal systems to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
  • Move palletized product using forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution center
  • Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
  • Maintain inventory by replenishing stock, verifying product accuracy, and supporting efficient warehouse operations
  • Manage overstock, investigate discrepancies, adjusting inventory records, and completing routine inventory control tasks and reporting
  • Perform daily cycle counts, audit inventory locations, verify SKU quantities, and maintain inventory accuracy using PIT equipment
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
  • Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
  • Abide by all company and warehouse policies
  • Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

WAGE
Starting Wage is $25.00/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.
Work Hours
4th Shift: Friday to Monday, 7:00AM to 5:30PM
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Qualifications
Experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred but not required.
