Public - Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of inbound patient calls in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments while gathering all necessary clinical information.
- Ask detailed questions to determine the purpose of the visit, including any recent imaging, testing, or procedures completed.
- Verify insurance eligibility and ensure required authorizations are obtained prior to appointments.
- Accurately document detailed appointment notes so providers have the appropriate clinical context before each visit.
- Coordinate appointments while ensuring all required documentation and authorizations are in place.
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients and families, demonstrating empathy and patience during every interaction.
- Dealing with patients who have sleep apnea issues and need help
Public - Required Skills
- 1-3 years of medical scheduling or patient care coordination experience.
- Needs to have experience in the sleep apnea world and dealing with patients who have had these issues
- Previous experience in a high-volume medical office.
- Strong appointment scheduling experience required.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility, and prior authorizations.
- Excellent documentation and note-taking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
