Job description

As an Investment Advisor on the Inbound Advisor team, you'll play a pivotal role by delivering financial strategies to help individuals achieve their goals.
 
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team's existing talents. For this Investment Advisor role, we are seeking a candidate with a desire to help clients succeed financially. If you have the heart of a teacher, perseverance, and compassion, this may be an opportunity for you!
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct business with the goal of achieving/exceeding performance targets for engagement center metrics: opportunity generation, client enrollment, client retention, and customer survey scores
  • Take inbound calls and review financial goals to uncover needs and opportunities; provide consultative mentorship to empower action and support achievement of the client's personal financial goals
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the company financial planning philosophy and approach, products and services, investment strategies, and other aspects of personal financial planning
  • Ability to engage with clients over the phone & conduct goal-based conversations; accurately & efficiently to resolve client issues
  • Optimally handle time, client inflows and processes while adhering to a set schedule within the engagement center
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent level of professional work experience. Prefer degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Planning, or related field.
  • Outstanding customer service experience and strong desire to help people
  • Results oriented, with a passion for talking to clients over the phone to uncover their financial needs and advise on client's financial goals
  • Proficiency and/or experience working with computer-based tools for account management
  • Possess the Series 65 or Series 66 securities license or be willing to go through our training program to earn the Series 65 securities license within the first 3 months of employment

Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $50,700 - $67,600. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
