Job description

Our client, a popular consumer brand company, is hiring an Inventory Inbound Analyst for a 3-4 month temp assignment. Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite in Shelton and 2 days remote).


The Inventory Inbound Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate visibility of goods in transit from manufacturing plants, as well as analyzing and optimizing open inventory orders. This role involves data entry, data analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate system information and ensure effective communication with the local warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities – Data Analysis

  • Analyze, reconcile, and adjust in-transit open orders (Bulk, Components, and Finished Goods) to ensure accurate visibility for the planning team in Blue Yonder. This includes quantity and date adjustments, as well as order cancellations or creation of new orders.
  • Reconcile orders across JDE and WMS systems to support warehouse inbound receiving processes.
  • Process imaging and matching of all orders received from subsidiaries to support the vouching process in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inbound inventory (Bulk, Finished Goods, and Components) for import orders.
  • Develop and maintain reports from systems such as Blue Yonder and JDE to provide accurate visibility of in-transit inventory to the planning team.
  • Coordinate container delivery schedules based on warehouse capacity constraints and inventory coverage levels; collaborate with warehouse management to define inbound prioritization.
  • Perform ongoing data cleansing activities to ensure accurate and reliable visibility in Blue Yonder.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Accounts Payable—to align processes and implement best practices that support business objectives.
